A 34-year-old man driving a Jeep on Mauna Kea Access Road in Hilo went off the road, down an embankment and flipped over. The driver was killed. The driver's 31-year-old wife was taken to the Queen's Medical Center to be treated for her injuries. A 33-year-old woman from Japan also died.
